Frequently asked questions

When we take deep, slow breaths, we activate the parasympathetic nervous system – sometimes called the “rest and digest” system. This part of our nervous system helps to slow our heart rate, lower blood pressure, and reduce the levels of stress hormones in our body.
It’s like hitting the brakes on anxiety.

We primarily facilitate longer, neurodynamic breathwork sessions, which is a powerful and mature technique. Additionally, we have witnessed the incredible benefits of shorter sessions with many of our participants. These can be integrated as a daily practice, which can be practiced as a daily ritual, like brushing your teeth. The main goal of these shorter sessions is to assist your nervous system in releasing tension and reconnecting with yourself. They are not necessarily intended to delve deeply into your psyche, although this may naturally occur.
Research has shown that specific breathing techniques can significantly reduce symptoms of anxiety. For example, a study published in the journal Frontiers in Human Neuroscience found that deep, controlled breathing can reduce the production of cortisol, a stress hormone, and increase feelings of calmness and focus. Another study from Harvard Medical School revealed that deep breathing exercises can help people feel less overwhelmed by stress, and more capable of handling daily challenges.
Practicing breathwork daily can provide immediate relief from anxiety, improve sleep quality, increase focus, and promote emotional balance. Just a few minutes of deep breathing each day can help you manage stress more effectively and maintain a calmer, more centered mindset.

This practice is simple yet profoundly effective for reconnecting with your center anytime during the day. You can integrate it into your daily well-being ritual or turn to it in challenging moments when you feel unbalanced—to gently reset and soothe your nervous system.
